Media Briefing on drought

The AusSMC held a national media briefing on drought and opportunities for change in Sydney on Thursday 14 December, 2006.

In this briefing, Australian experts discussed ‘the year that was’ and the way forward for our precious water resources.

Speakers were Dr Michael Coughlan, Australian Bureau of Meteorology; Dr John Williams, Commissioner, NSW Natural Resources Commission; Ian Atkinson, CEO of the CRC for Irrigation Futures; and Jenifer Simpson, industrial chemist, author and educator on water issues.
