Our Latest Graduates
The CRC for Irrigation Futures would like to congratulate some of our more recent graduates for successfully completing their PhDs. The honour roll includes:
Dr Michael Van Der Laan, Modelling agricultural non-point source (NPS) nutrient pollution from point to catchment scale. Michael has moved to Durban where he is working as the Systems Modeller at the South African Sugarcane Research Institute.
Dr Amjed Hussain , Quantifying the opportunity for precision irrigation associated with improved spatial and temporal management of water application. Amjed is now working in the Future Farming Systems Research Division of the Department of Primary Industries.
Dr Jyotiprakash Padhi , Incorporating spatial variability in soil and crop properties for effective irrigation. Jyotiprakash is currently packing up to move back to India with his wife and their newborn baby.
Dr Younes Ezlit , Leaching and non-steady non-uniform salinity concentration profiles under seasonably variable water quality and quantity. Younes has returned home to Libya.
Dr Peta Dzidic , Lessons from the North and the South: New Strategies for Improved Decision Making in Irrigation and Land Management. Peta is living in Western Australia and working for the CSIRO.
