Online forms & the collection of personal information

Any personal information collected through the use of an online form will only be collected using lawful and by fair means, used for a lawful purpose, and be collected with your consent. The purposes of collection will also be clear and explicit. None of the information that you provide is or will be passed to third parties by the CRC or republished for other purposes without the consent of the individual concerned.

Email (CRC Mailing List) and the collection of personal information

The CRC for Irrigation Futures maintains a number of databases including the Inflo mailing list, document download log and other personal information sent by that user to the CRC for Irrigation Futures. These details are, and will continue to be, used only for the purpose that they have been provided. E-mail addresses will not be disclosed to a third party without the consent of the addressee.

Website Traffic Data Collection

The CRC for Irrigation Futures web site is a cookie-free site. The CRC does not engage at present in e-commerce through the site. The CRC monitors and records website visits and logs the following user information for statistical purposes:
  • user's server address
  • user's operating system
  • user's top level domain names, (eg. .biz, .com, .gov, .au, .uk, etc.)
  • date and time of the visit to the site
  • pages accessed and documents downloaded
  • previous site visited and the type and version of browser used.
No attempt is, or will be made, to identify individual users or browsing activities, except in the event of an investigation where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the CRC's service provider's logs.

View Your Personal Information

On request, you are welcome to view the personal information that we hold about you. If you think that any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, please contact us, and following authentication, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that it is corrected.

Likewise if you do not consent to the CRC using your personal information as detailed above, please send an email to the communications officer at enquiries@irrigationfutures.org.au and an appropriate stop will be put in place.
