Background
The
CRCIF Training Program transfers our research outcomes to expand the professional skill base of the irrigation industry.
Training courses are developed from research projects and are suitable for:
Researchers
- Advisors
- Farmers
- Irrigation operators
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students
The activities in this program will:
- Improve the skills and knowledge of people in the irrigation industry to increase their receptiveness of, and responsiveness to, new knowledge and technologies
- Enhance the value to Australia of CRCIF graduate researchers
- Facilitate collaboration between industry stakeholders, government bodies and appropriate education and training providers
The combination of research excellence and industry knowledge will provide education and training of scientific quality and industry relevance. Learning events will be presented in response to demand and will be drawn from the research and education activities under way.
By working with its partner organisations, the CRCIF will be able to guide and direct the development and delivery of educational and training activity relevant to the current and future needs of the irrigation community.
